Healthy Foods, Not Pills

Can good nutrition be put into a capsule? No!

Do you need to take vitamin-mineral supplements? It depends on your lifestyle choices.

  • Do you skip breakfast?
  • Lunch, too, sometimes?
  • Do you travel a lot?
  • Eat out frequently?
  • Drink alcohol frequently?
  • Smoke?
  • Take contraceptive pills?
  • Have a high-stress level, career or home life?
  • Drink coffee constantly?

If you answered yes too many of these questions, your nutritional state is at high–risk! If you were to continue on your same life-style course, you could possibly benefit from supplemental vitamins and minerals. However, supplements are not the only answer. You can remedy the situation by subtly rearranging your life-style to include balance, wholesome meals and snacks at regular intervals each day. It is often a simple matter of learning what to grab and when to grab it!

You would not be alone if you opted for a quick-fix life-style change. Sixty million other Americans spend nearly three billion dollars a year on vitamin and minerals pills. Sadly, this whole idea of a quick fix in a pill is often based on a false security that goes something like this:

If you have a poor diet and an unhealthy lifestyle, you can fill in the gaps with a pill.

If you are under intensive stress and have no energy, just take a vitamin to overcome the problem.

Unfortunately supplementation doesn’t ever address the real problems or meet the real needs. It can never replace a lifestyle change or self-care. Pills have little to do with the foundations of building a healthy lifestyle. They concern themselves only with the “interior decorating.”
